Karachi Airport was not the only one


Karachi airport was not the only airport that has been attacked.In the last few decades many airports of Europe America
and many other countries have been attacked.And the interesting fact is that  many of them were before the existence of AL QUAIDA or TALIBAN or before the happening of 9/11.

The Lod Airport massacre was a terrorist attack that occurred on May 30, 1972,which killed 26 people and injured 80 others.
Japanese Red Army (guided by PFLP-EO) is believed to be responsible for attack

The  LaGuardia Airport New york bombing on 29 December 1975 killed 11 people and 74 injured
and it remains officially unsolved.

Ankara airport , Turkey was attacked on 7 august 1982 killed 9 people and injured some 72.

on 15 July 1983 Orly Airport in Paris, France,was attacked by ASALA (militant group of Armenian )
which killed 8 people and  54 were injured .

On 20 April 1984, London Heath row Airport was attacked.The blast injured 22 and  no one has claimed responsibility of attack

On June 23, 1985 Narita International Airport Tokyo was attacked two flights Air India 301 and Air India 182  were exploded
Sikh extremists of Canada are considered responsible for the attack

The Rome and Vienna airport attacks were two major terrorist attacks on 27 December 1985.
Abu Nidal Organization claimed the responsibility of attack.killed 16 and 99 were injured.

Karachi airport has also been attacked by terrorists in the past,On September 5, 1986.
Four terrorists,  attacked into  the same Fokker Gate and hijacked the US aircraft.

1st August 1990 British Airways Flight 149 departed from London Heath row Airport was hijacked by Saddam's Iraqi forces,

Air France Flight 8969 was an Air France flight that was hijacked on 24 December 1994 by the Armed Islamic Group (GIA)

The Bandaranaike Airport and airbase was attacked by LTTE on July 24, 2001 destroyed their 26 planes.

On July 4, 2002, a terrorist attack at Los Angeles International Airport in LosAngeles, California killed 3 people.

30th December 2006 Spain Madrid Airport was attacked by ETA killed 2 and 4 injured


The 2007 Glasgow International Airport attack was a terrorist attack which occurred on Saturday 30 June 2007,

2009 suicide air raid on Colombo by LTTE on February 20, 2009,

 Moscow international Airport was attacked on 24 July 2011 , 37 people were killed and 80 wounded


15 December 2012 BACHA
khan airport Peshawar Pakistan attack took 9 lives.

All of the above airports claimed to have 100 % risk free security but none can stop the attacks why ????
