Kleine Levin Syndrom

Kleine Levin Syndrome is the second name for "Sleeping beauty syndrome".


The sufferer has to endure an irresistible urge to sleep and usually patient sleeps for 64 days straight. This sleep comprises of episodes of normally 20 hours. Patient are normally teenagers and <30 years.

Patient wakes up but even then he is not quite to his senses and exhibits lethargy, drowsiness and confusion.

Making them wake up is quite an arduous task. People who suffer from sleeping beauty syndrome only wake up to eat or visit bathroom.
