OLED DISPLAY: The Future of Digital Display

What is an OLED TV?

OLED is the abbreviation of ORGANIC LIGHT EMMITING DIODE. The OLED display works on the principle that when electricity passes through it ,it displays the picture. It is different from regular LED and also more efficient from LED technology. Passing electricity through organic material is the fundamental principle. Recently it has been manufactured by LG Corporations.

The difference between Regular LED and OLED TVs

So what’s the difference? OLED TVs are just LED TVs with “organic” materials in them, right? Well, no. LED TVs are actually LCD TVs but they are illuminated by LEDs on the back which can be compensated behind the screen or the side case of the television. On the contrary, OLEDs does not need any kind of LEDs ,therefore maybe in the future they can be set up on a thin paper or invisible plastic sheet, but again we just have to wait.
OLEDs gives us a disadvantage on price, which is obviously a big one!! as compared to LEDs. So, if price is a problem for you, you just have to wait for other companies to manufacture these awesome TVs. But since then LEDs rule the Television Industry.
