World's Fastest Elevator under construction

The Chinese are currently constructing the world's fastest lift in Guangzhao China.

The lift will run at a speed of 44 miles per hour and it will only take 43 seconds to reach the 95Th floor.

The current fastest elevator runs at a speed of 8 mile per hour only. The tower in which it is being constructed is known as the CTF Finance centre and is 530 meters high.

93 normal lifts are also being constructed in the same tower. The high speed lift will be fully functional by 2016.
